Hormonal acne mainly caused due to hormonal fluctuation in the body. The Hormonal Acne affects at any age. Hormonal Acne appears on the forehead, nose and chin (T-Zone area) during the puberty and in the adult, it appears in lower part of the face which is bottom of the cheeks and jawline.
It is better to treat hormonal acne naturally because they are free from side effects. Here are few remedies for hormonal acne.
Use Tea Tree oil – The tea tree oil work as a deep cleanser, it goes deep into the skin and opens the closed pores. It acts as a healing agent on the skin. It also reduces the inflammation and hence reduce the acne. Do not use the Tea Tree oil directly, dilute the Tea Tree oil by adding the coconut, jojoba and olive oil then apply.
Method to use– In 1 tablespoon of coconut, jojoba or olive oil mix 2 or 3 drops of tea tree oil. Take a cotton ball and apply gently on the affected areas and leave it for 10 minutes so that it penetrates inside the skin. After 10 minutes wash it with lukewarm water. Follow the process at least for three days. You can also use one tablespoon of honey instead of coconut oil and mix 4 or 5 drops of tea tree oil and apply it on the acne, keep it for 15 minutes and wash it with water. Repeat it for two days.
Apple cider vinegar – The apple cider vinegar is a rich source of Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which is useful to treat the hormonal acne. This acid will open the closed pores of the skin and helps in removing the scars of the acne.
Method to use– Mix apple cider vinegar with equal amount of water, add little honey to it and apply gently on the affected area with cotton. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off the face. Apply it once in a day.
For better results take a glass of water and add 1 or 2 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar and drink it daily. It is good for health and skin.
Green Tea– The Green tea has natural antioxidants and helps to minimize the body’s inflammation. So, it turns out to be an excellent remedy for hormonal acne. Green tea gives your skin a glow and maintain your health.
Method to use – Mix ¼ cup of water and ¼ cup of brewed green tea. Apply the solution on the acne and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it with cold water, apply this twice a day for better results.
Turmeric– Turmeric contains curcumin which reduces the inflammation. Turmeric used for years in skin treatment. Turmeric also helps to reduce the acne. It is a natural antiseptic which fights against the infection that spread the acne.
Method to use– Take turmeric powder and add few drops of water to make a fine paste, apply this on the acne and leave it for 1 hour and wash it. Use this method once or twice a day. You can also add ½ tablespoon of turmeric in warm milk and have it daily for good results.
Aloe Vera– The gel of Aloe Vera plant is very useful for skin. It contains salicylic acid which reduces the acne. Aloe Vera gel is turned up as the most effective natural remedy for hormonal acne.
Method to use– Peel out the skin and extract the gel of aloe vera. Either blend it or rub it directly to the skin. Repeat it one or two times in a day. You can also apply it before going to bed and in the morning with lukewarm water.
